Poetic Beauty…Io and Zeus…Zeus disguised into a cloud… by Jeonghee Churches

The tenderness is one of the features that I find so beautiful in this painting…

How can the painter express the emotion so sophisticated….beautiful…so beautiful…

Io was a beautiful lady living in Argos, central Greece, when Zeus saw her and fell madly in love…

Disguised into a cloud, Zeus made love to her…

'Jupiter (Zeus in Greek Myth) and Io' (c. 1532-1533) is a painting by the Italian late Renaissance

artist Antonio da Correggio. It is housed in the Kunsthistorisches Museum of Vienna, Austria.

an artist who is as a contemporary myth maker… by Jeonghee Churches

I have been craving for deeper satisfaction through my art production and

for more understanding of cultural issues through producing my art work…

I love to communicate…through my art work…

I think culture is communication, communication is culture…

In other words, culture is symbolic communication…

Some of its symbols include a group's skills, knowledge, attitudes, values, and motives…

myth…story…culture…

Zeus… by Jeonghee Churches

Zeus was the god of the sky and ruler of the Olympian gods…

at his command,

the clouds open and pour their refreshing streams to nourish the earth…

it rained all day…

Zeus visited us today…
